Altera fosters an environment that encourages professional growth and development. An extensive range of internal and external development courses are offered to our employees, as well as tuition reimbursement. As we continue to expand globally, we are increasing our focus on building leadership and management capabilities and succession management.
Health and Safety
Altera is committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace for all its employees. Our long-standing Environmental, Health and Safety Policy seeks to comply with all applicable standards and regulations. We also work closely with our suppliers to ensure they meet global health and safety standards and guidelines. 54% of our manufacturing partners are OHSAS 18001 certified and the remainder will be certified in the near future. Supplier certificates can be found at Altera's My Support.
Employees are provided with initial and on-going health and safety training as appropriate for their job. Employee exposure to potential safety hazards are closely managed through proper design, engineering and administrative controls, preventative maintenance, safe work procedures (including lockout/tagout), and ongoing safety training. Inspections are performed on a regular basis.
